Hot in Late September

My "pic of the day" is of a hot air balloon that flew over the top of our apt. last night. It was so close it was like we could touch it. Today was so warm, over 90, that I actually went for a swim after I came home from work. One a side note, I was very thankful that my husband was productive today.

Another Hot Day

It was yet again another very hot day with a heat index above 100. I went for a short walk across campus at lunch and sweat was literally dripping off my face onto my shirt. Tonight we had the kick off get together for Advisor's Forum and I got to tour the host advisor's new home.

Day 7

A very hot day which felt like the tropics, and more hot days to come. Today was a "work day" as I had to catch up on my work email, complete some things at home and help Paul prepare for his business trip to St. Louis tomorrow.

Hot & Humid

We are in the middle of a very hot and humid stretch. A band of thunderstorms moved through at 7:30 a.m. waking us up, but that soon gave way to sunshine and heat this afternoon. I remained tired all day and had a nap after church and instant messaging my friend in Britain. The heat made for a nice time in the pool after 5:30 p.m., and we just heard that we may have a heat index of over 110 for tomorrow.

Hot Weekend

It was another very hot summer day with a heat index in the 100's. This evening we braved the heat and humidity to attend the grand opening of Stephen Lake Park's amphitheatre which featured a family theatre performance and music from the community band. Outside of that we had a pretty quiet day trying to catch up from the week. My "pic of the day" is from another recent hot day that we spent blowing bubbles.

Hot

Another hot day. It reminded me of the day we spent in the Botanical Gardens, so I thought a "pic of the day" of a mansion from the Gardens would be appropriate.

Hot, Hot, Hot...

One word, hot, that describes today with temps in the 90s and the heat index pushing 100. My "pic of the day" is of Paul in the pool with his noodle because that's where we spent time this evening after work.

Hot

A very sunny and hot day with temps reaching the 90's. It's hard to believe that just three months ago we still had pockets of ice on the ground! We headed straight for the pool as soon as I got home and it's so nice to be in the pool without getting goose bumps! My "pic of the day" is of a glass blown sculpture we saw at the Botanical Gardens last month.

Lake Weather

I chose this "pic of the day" because it was hot and humid enough to crave a jump in the lake. I came home from work wanting to take a swim, but our apt. pool was pretty full of kids so Paul and I opted for a walk instead, ugh.

What stands out to me today is my seemingly bad luck to attract weird situations at the same time our new advisor is observing me for part of her training. How awkward it is to come across problems that I don't know the answer to time and time again. I've encountered so many things like this all week that I haven't had happen since I've been in my job. How strange!?

Botanical Garden

My "pic of the day" is from the Missouri Botanical Garden that we went to today in St. Louis. It was so hot and humid and we trecked around through the Garden for about 3.5 hrs. I got some really good pics though!
